Il conversion rate si calcola dividendo il numero di conversioni per il totale di click o visitatori, moltiplicando poi per 100. Ad esempio, se un link di affiliazione genera 1.000 click e 30 di quei visitatori completano l'azione desiderata, il conversion rate è del 3%. L'azione desiderata varia per verticale: può essere un FTD (First Time Deposit) nell'iGaming, l'apertura di un conto finanziato nel Forex o l'acquisto di una challenge nel Prop Trading.
Il conversion rate è una delle metriche piu importanti per valutare le performance di un programma di affiliazione.
